How to calculate the number of floors?

How to calculate the number of floors?

Data Give;

  1. Site Area: 10 Acre

  2. F.A.R: 2

  3. Ground Coverage: 40%

  4. Number of Floors:?

Solution:

Total Built-up Area= Site Area  X  F.A.R

Total Built-up Area= 10 X 2 = 20 Acre = 80937 Sq. m.

Ground Coverage = 40% of Site Area = 40 X 10/100 = 4 Acre = 16187 Sq. m.

Number of Floors = Total Built-up Area / Ground Coverage

=  80937 / 16187

= 5 Floors (Approx.)
